Resources For Teachers

Visual of Tinker's Prism teachers' resource sheet

This resource sheet is designed with Key Stage 2 pupils in mind.

The suggested primary activity is to read the short excerpt from Tinker’s Prism then illustrate a double page spread for the book.

Hints and tips are given for budding artists of varying ability. The sheet also suggests alternatives to a straightforward illustration of the scene, e.g. Children could design and annotate a blueprint for the invention, or draw Ruby’s dream cookie.

Should anybody insist that they HATE drawing, there’s a writing option instead, which can double as an extension exercise for early finishers.

I hope you find the activity useful! If so, do please spread the word!
